As a professional Realtor, I work hard…..and on my time-off, I PLAY hard!!
Yesterday (August 6, 2011) I, along with my girlfriend Deborah and my sons Allen & Eric, took to the skys for long awaited skydive!! We’d all talked about doing this for a long time, and finally this past June we just chose a date and said we were going.
We started early on Saturday, with an 8:00 am rendevous at Eric’s apartment. Eric and Allen were there with Brittany and Sammie. Deborah and I had Garrett and Julia with us, so we took two vehicles. First stop priority was to fill up with a healthy nutritious breakfast, which in Indiana means Burger King!
Soon we were on our way to the Greensburg Airport, and SkyDive Greensburg.

After the morning fog burned off, we were greeted with an absolutely gorgeous day of sunny skies and beautiful white clouds to fly through. The temperature was a reasonable 85 degrees with a generous breeze.
After checking in at the airport, we watched a brief video with instructions on what we were about to do and what we should expect. Then we waited until our turn came up. Although it was a long wait, we had a great visit amongst ourselves, and got to watch several other plane-loads of jumpers go before us.

Then it was OUR turn. Each of us got to meet our instructors separately, and were securely placed in our harnesses. Then we waited again, until the plane came to pick us up.
Walking to the plane with Deborah, Allen & Eric was just amazing! I was excited, and VERY proud to have my family with me. Then after about a 15 minute plane ride to 13,000 feet, GERONIMO!!!!
It was simply amazing to experience free-fall, and even more amazing to enjoy it with my family!
Would I do it again….IN A SECOND!!!
